We take responsibility for the environment.

As part of the Swisscom Group, we are supporting it in achieving climate neutrality and making a positive contribution towards reducing CO₂. In the long term, the Group has committed itself to a net-zero target for 2035 in accordance with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).

We procure, store, use and dispose of our materials in an ecologically responsible way. We recycle reusable materials. In this way, we make a contribution towards the preservation of valuable raw materials and conserve resources.

Electromobility as a key factor in CO₂ reduction.

cablex has one of the largest vehicle fleets in Switzerland. Mobility is one of the biggest drivers of operational CO₂ emissions. Together with Swisscom, we have therefore set ourselves the goal of halving direct CO₂ emissions from our vehicle fleet by 2025 and eliminating them completely by 2030. The electrification of the fleet is therefore an important lever for reducing operational emissions.

In 2024, the Swisscom Group will procure around 1,200 electric vehicles. In doing so we are taking a major step towards sustainable mobility.

The majority of Swisscom's vehicle fleet is used by cablex for field services. Employees travel an average of 92 kilometres a day to support customers on site. Technological progress in the field of electromobility makes it possible to charge vehicles more quickly and cover greater distances.
