Sport has been an important and integral part of Pascal's life since he was a little boy. Being active helps him balance out his mentally challenging work in the office. The list of sports he is interested in is diverse, and with tennis, biking and skiing on there, it is by no means complete. His big passion is playing ice hockey. Since his time as a successful top athlete right up to the present day, he has found values in ice hockey that are very important to him: team spirit, loyalty, openness, honesty and transparency. They create the "winning spirit" that determines success and failure. Pascal says: "In sport, there's a good reason why championships are also determined in the dressing room, not just on the field."
Today, Pascal plays in the senior team at EHC Thun. Even as an outsider, you can clearly feel their team spirit, since this evening, every player is here supporting Pascal's video recordings and interview. Without any need for grand words, the team are all naturally right behind him.
Pascal finds and encourages the winning spirit and the values associated with it at cablex too. "Team spirit is our superpower," he says. One of his objectives as a manager and member of the senior management team is to support this team spirit and provide the motivation to achieve everything as a team. It is a leader's job to know their team members and support them, working with their strengths and interests, rather than confronting them with their weaknesses. As a result, each team member can perform at their best and contribute to the overall success of the team, explains Pascal. "Everyone is an important part of the whole team. You win together, you lose together. In times of crisis, a team also stands up for each other. Anyone going through a sporting or professional crisis can be bolstered if they have a team behind them," says Pascal with conviction. You notice how important this loyalty is to him as a sportsman, an individual and a leader.
Thank you, Pascal, and thanks to your team at EHC Thun and the Wireless employees for inspiring us with your team spirit and your values. We hope every team can adopt your "winning spirit" and celebrate successes together, but also support and motivate each other when the "bad atmosphere" takes over from "the good one".
