"If you are well prepared, you will reach your destination successfully, even if it's raining. This motto is key for Gilbert to experience a "really good tour" on his Harley Davidson. But the motto stands at least as much for what Gilbert defines as the prerequisite for the success of his business unit. Careful planning and good preparation create the basis for a good result - mistakes are avoided and complications can be dealt with more quickly.
The Wireline Constructions department represents cablex's core business and networks all new buildings with Swisscom's communications network. With the expansion of the fibre optic network, cablex is creating the infrastructure for higher bandwidths, and thus the foundation for the technologies of the future. These include the Internet of Things, such as smart homes or virtual reality applications.
