Internal safety training was held again last week in Meiersboden, Canton Grisons. The beautiful autumn day and the location close to the Grisons mountains were an additional invitation to do practical exercises outside.
The safety organisation at cablex holds regular safety training courses on various safety-relevant tasks at cablex. Two of these training courses ("Working on and around transport carriers" and "Working in shafts") took place last week at the Meiersboden training centre near Chur. The courses each lasted half a day and were led by internal safety experts.

Each course is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. All the leaves had to be swept off the manhole cover first for the practical exercise outside. Only then was it possible to start opening the manhole cover. It is a somewhat different working day that also brings a variety of people together as the courses are conducted across teams.
Depending on the employee's work activity, it is compulsory to take part in certain safety training courses. The two courses teach necessary skills for the employees and are recorded in the safety passport at the end of the course day.
