In everyday life at home, sustainability commitments have been important to you for a long time. Recycling plastic, glass or paper is mandatory in Switzerland, and we are leading the market with our efforts. Waste separation has become a matter of course. However, each and every one of you can help to ensure that cablex achieves its environmental goals and, above all, lives up to them.

Sustainability is anchored in cablex's strategy, values and environmental policy. We take responsibility!
It is very important for cablex that we use resources carefully and correctly. Waste separation is one of the most important points as we can have a direct influence here. Therefore, this goal is also measured and tracked. We work closely with our disposal partners.

Our environmental goals 2023.
The annual environmental targets are derived from the sustainability commitment. At cablex, we work on the topic of the environment over the long term and try to improve every year through continuous training and awareness-raising among our employees. Specifically, the following environmental targets have been set for the year 2023:
• Implementation of the cablex/Swisscom recycling concept
• Maintain the recycling rate of 75 percent (by weight)
• Step-by-step optimisation of the vehicle fleet
• Promoting efficient travel
• Participation rate in environmental training > 90 percent
After the first seven months, we at cablex can already draw the following conclusions for the year 2023:
Our recycling concept is well implemented. Waste is separated and disposed of in the appropriate facilities. Regular environmental audits on the construction sites and in the warehouses are improving awareness of our environmental issues.
Our vehicle fleet is being electrified step by step in order to reduce CO2 emissions and thus make our contribution to a climate-neutral Swisscom. Accordingly, the installation of charging stations at company locations and in the private sector is also being promoted.
