Mendy on her role as a fibre optic installer.

For me, there are no 'male or female jobs', as they are so often classified in society. It is important that a company embodies diversity, like cablex does. The role of fibre optic installer offers me the perfect balance of using both my fine and gross motor skills."

Mendy Meichtry

Mendy is a qualified electrician and has already done a lot of fibre optic work during her apprenticeship. Since autumn 2022, she has been working as a fibre optic installer at cablex in Valais. For her, the job offers the perfect work-life-balance. Utilising fine motor skills, which are vital when working with fibre optics, but also gross motor skills for tasks like cable pulling, makes the job varied and interesting. Since Mendy starts relatively early in the morning, she has the opportunity to pursue her personal passions after work. Fascinating operations, a highly motivated team and good remuneration are all excellent reasons for working at cablex as a fibre optic installer. An occupation that can be carried out by men and women alike.

Thank you Mendy for that fascinating insight into your daily working routine!
